This beautiful contemporary luxury and architectural hotel diamond in the heart of Stockholm was the official hub for Stockholm Design Week 2025 and the place-to-go-to after a day filled with inspiration, meetings, design events or after visiting the parallel on-going Stockholm Furniture Fair. Nobis Hotel is an oasis and a member of Design Hotels.
At Guldbaren (The Golden Bar), it was comfortable and easy to slip by to have some snacks, maybe some bubbly or why-not-a-Cosmopolitan. The designer and architect behind the interior is the well-known trio Claeson, Koivisto, Rune and they were inspired by the Yayoi Kusama installation “Fire Flies on the Water” when giving form, look and feel to the hotel. Previously (in the 70s) this hotel housed a bank. Everything in the bar is covered in gold, from the mirrors to the the bar counter. In the same building you find Marimekko flag ship store. Previously also the top notch ACNE flag ship store was situated here.
This year mini Miss Peyron, my daughters, entered the design scene with H A L O A N D B E A M.
At Nobis you were also welcome to rest your legs at the stylish lounge, aka the living room of Stockholm - a melting pot for Stockholmers in general mixed with business travelers and some design enthuastical tourists. This magnific lounge atrium with 28 m ceiling hight is truly wow, eye catching and the atmosphere is chic and elegant, relaxing and harmonious.
All this beauty framed by the guest entrance and the lobby, with its stunning lamp balls in the ceiling, bringing magic to Norrmalms Torg. And the spiral staircase! Oh this absolutely beautiful, now iconic staircase!
